The Legend of the Dream Pouch

Before the days of Avalon, back to Atlantean times, people of renown, artisans, crafts people, religious people even, all carried a Dream Pouch or more. It is said that the great Poseidon, protector of Atlantis, created 12 Dream Pouches for the first 12 Atlanteans. These pouches carried the 12 great virtues: love, kindness, compassion, humility, grace, devotion, joy, forgiveness, harmony, balance, responsibility and prosperity. Poseidon himself decreed that Dream Pouches hold only unconditionally loving dreams, or dreams that in some way reflect the 12 virtues.

The great Poseidon, protector of Atlantis, created twelve Dream Pouches for the first twelve Atlanteans.

It became tradition for the High Priestess of Atlantis to create the Dream Pouches, and in a ritual, to have them blessed by Poseidon. Through the act of acquiring a Dream Pouch, Atlanteans welcomed the blessings, protection and ancient wisdom of Poseidon in their quest to turn their dreams into reality.

It is not common knowledge that today a group of islands in the Caribbean region still thrive with the ancient energy of Atlantis. For the first time in thousands of years, the secret of the Dream Pouch has been rediscovered by a local artist living on St. Croix, a small island in the heart of the Caribbean.

In the tradition of the High Priestess of Atlantis, the artist creates the Dream Pouch and performs a ritual asking Poseidon to fill the pouch with the energy and wisdom of Atlantis. The ritual imbues the Dream Pouch with the intent of helping its owner develop a clear mind, a strong purpose and the courage to take action to fulfill their dream.

About the Dream Pouch

The Dream Pouch is a mystical work of art designed and lovingly crafted by St. Croix artist Jamila Hammad. For over 10 years Ms. Hammad has been a student of metaphysics. Since her move to the heart of the Caribbean in 2005, she has immersed herself in meditation and study about the Atlantean energy prevalent on the island. The information and energy work related to the Dream Pouch is a result of these studies.

The Dream Pouch is quilted and is made with hand-dyed batik fabrics, cotton batting, organza, yarn and crystal beads. The pouch has a base that is 3" square and a height of over 4". In the tradition of the High Priestess of Atlantis, each Dream Pouch is blessed with a ritual before it is shipped to its owner.

Each Dream Pouch comes with instructions for programming it with your dream. It also has instructions for cleansing the energy of the pouch when you are ready to release your dream and imbue the Dream Pouch with a new dream. For this purpose, the Dream Pouch also comes with an accompanying amethyst crystal point wrapped in its own cloth. The amethyst crystal symbolizes the earth's healing power to cleanse and purify. This is a rough crystal, relatively unaltered to maintain its integrity intact. The wrap that protects the amethyst crystal point is stamped with an ancient Atlantean symbol representing the infinite power of renewal.

How to Use Your Dream Pouch

The Dream Pouch becomes a place in the physical world in which to focus your great creative energy towards your goal.

Following a set of simple instructions, you'll create your own private ritual for taking ownership of your Dream Pouch and visualizing your dream. In a piece of paper you'll write down your dream, you'll recite an Atlantean incantation, and place the piece of paper inside the Dream Pouch. You can also place inside the Dream Pouch any objects that represent to you the fulfillment of your dream.

The Dream Pouch becomes a place in the physical world in which to focus your great creative energy towards your goal.
